Hi everyone. I love Spri Linux. It works wonderfully on my machine.

I need to know how to set XFCE4 as the default desktop environment so I don't have to press F1 five times every time I log in. Can you help me with that?

None of the instructions on the web seem to work, and I'm not given the choice of choosing to set a particular environment as the default.

Thanks in Advance,

Marc

I'm not on my spri box right now, but this should work: just edit your ~/.xinitrc file. Usually you comment out all environment exec statements except the one you want to launch. I believe the code for xfce is:

exec xfce4
